THE NMC PRIVACY STATEMENT
WHAT'S THIS ABOUT?The New Media Collective blog is a non-commercial site that is dedicated to bringing together media makers of color throughout the blogosphere. It was designed to be a service to the new media community in general, and to the minority media making community in particular.
Any monies derived from the site (from merchandise sales, donations, etc.) are used to defray the costs of maintaining this site (server costs, etc.)
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
To be included in the NMC Directory, your site must be a non-commercial blog, videoblog, podcast, or photoblog. ("Non-commercial" meaning that the blog cannot be used to sell something.) We use our own judgment on deciding which sites meet these criteria.
We check each site to see if you qualify as either a blogger, videoblogger, podcaster, or photoblogger. If we're unsure, we will contact you for clarification.
Inclusion in the NMC Directory is solely at the discretion of the site's founder(s). You can be rejected or removed at any time, for any reason.
LISTING YOUR SITE
Each site will be listed in the NMC Directory under the appropriate category (Videoblogs, Podcasts, Blogs, Photoblogs) in alphabetical order. Included with each listing will be a direct link to the site and a brief description of that site.
Individuals with more than one blog may have more than one listing. Each of these sites should have its own URL and substantially different content.
PRIVACY
We ask for your email when you submit your site to the NMC Directory, which automatically puts you on our mailing list. You may opt out of the mailing list at any time. Just send us an email and you will be removed. If you sign up to be listed on the NMC Directory, but elect not to be included on our mailing list, please indicate that in your submission request. You will receive one email to confirm your listing, and no more.
We collect emails for administrative purposes only. We will NEVER sell your email, or give it out to anyone, or post it anywhere. The mailing list will be used to inform our members of site improvements and NMC news. We will not use it to market anything to you, or spam you in any way.

The NMC Directory is an indexing service provided by The New Media Collective. We take no responsibility for the content of any of the sites listed here. A listing on the NMC Directory does not imply any endorsement of that site's content. Although we have visited every site before listing it, we cannot guarantee anything about your experience once you click the link to that site.
The NMC Resources page is provided solely as a guide. We take no responsibility for the quality of the information, services, or content of the resources listed on that page.
Please be aware that the more personal information you reveal through your blog (your name, picture, etc.) the more risk there is that someone might take advantage of that information. Again, not our responsibility, so please be careful.
Although this site is licensed under a Creative Commons license, we still hold the copyright to the content, design, and coding of this site.
